ABOUT US
The Cockrell Hill Fire Marshal’s Office is a law enforcement agency responsible for the protection of life and property located in the City of Cockrell Hill through enforcement of adopted City Ordinance and Texas State Law.
The Fire Marshal and all Deputy Fire Marshals are licensed Texas Peace Officers and have the authority to enforce any City Ordinance or State Law and make arrests for any offense as provided by State Law.

The Cockrell Hill Fire Marshal’s Office is dedicated to protecting lives and property in our community by providing quality service through innovation, professionalism, and diversity.
FIRE INSPECTIONS
The Fire Marshal’s Office strives to minimize the risk of life and property loss from fire through periodic inspection of commercial or public buildings, licensed facilities/operations and other buildings in the City of Cockrell Hill.
All Fire Inspectors are licensed by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection and are fully trained to conduct inspections and review submitted plans.
FIRE INVESTIGATIONS
Arson investigators are responsible for investigating the origin and cause of all fires in the City of Cockrell Hill.
All Arson Investigators are licensed by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection and the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
LAW ENFORCEMENT
The Fire Marshal’s Office is responsible for the enforcement of all City Ordinances. Through cooperation and education, the Fire Marshal’s Office works to bring all residents into compliance.
The Fire Marshal and Deputy Fire Marshals will also aggressively enforce all laws that relate to public safety including hazardous traffic violations.
